Oriental Fruit Fly (OFF)

On November 4, 1998, one male and one unmated female OFF were found in a McPhail trap by CDFA trapper Daniel Montoya. The trap was placed in a sapote at a residence along Second Street. The site is near a previous OFF finds
(PD57-98;PD77-98) and it is within the Alhambra OFF male annihilation treatment area.

The trap density at the time of the find was twenty-five Jackson/methyl eugenol and five McPhail traps per square mile.

CDFA Insect Biosystematist Kevin Hoffman made the determination.
