Peach Fruit Fly (PFF) Orange County Garden Grove On August 4, one male Peach Fruit Fly (PFF) was found by CDFA trapper Arcadio Diaz. The PFF was found in a Jackson/methyl eugenol trap deployed in a peach tree along Manley Street. The trap density in the area was five Jackson/methyl eugenol and five McPhail traps per square mile. In response to the find, CDFA will increase the Jackson/methyl eugenol and McPhail trap densities to 25 traps per square mile in the core square mile area around the find. CDFA Insect Biosystematist Kevin Hoffman made the determination.
