While inspecting Delta/GM traps on July 23, Mariposa County trapper Gayle Fisher found one dead male GM. The trap was placed in a pine tree in a Curry Village parking lot.

At the time of the find, the trap density in the area was 25 Delta/GM traps per square mile. In response, Mariposa County Department of Agriculture will increase the Delta/GM trap density to 50 traps per square mile in a four-square-mile area around the find.

CDFA Insect Biosystematist Tom Eichlin made the determination.
