San Diego County trapper Ellie Vanarelli found one live male GM on July 20 in a Delta/GM trap placed along Olive Hill Road.

The trap density in the area was three Delta/GM traps per square mile. In response, CDFA will increase the Delta/GM trap density to 25 traps per square mile in a four-square-mile area around the find.

CDFA Insect Biosystematist Tom Eichlin made the determination.
