Orange County trapper Elias Moreno found one male GFF in a Jackson/methyl eugenol trap on July 8 in Garden Grove. The trap was placed in an ornamental shade tree along Lampson Avenue.

The trap density was 5 Jackson/methyl eugenol and 5 McPhail traps per square mile. In response, CDFA will raise the Jackson/methyl eugenol and McPhail trap densities to 25 traps per square mile in the core area.

CDFA Insect Biosystematist Kevin Hoffman made the determination.
