Anastrepha striata

On May 19, one male Anastrepha striata was found in a McPhail trap by Los Angeles County trapper Jesus Garcia The trap was located in a loquat tree along San Juan Avenue.

The trap density in the area was five McPhail traps per square mile. In response, the McPhail trap density will be
increased to a 80-40-20-10-5 array in an
81-square-mile area around the find.

CDFA Insect Biosystematist Kevin Hoffman made the determination.
