Mexican Fruit Fly (MXFF) Ventura County Thousand Oaks Ventura County trapper Tom Paul found a Mexican fruit fly on April 21 in a McPhail trap along Sidlee Street. The trap was placed in an orange tree. The trap density was five McPhail trap per square mile. In response, Ventura County Department of Agriculture will raise the McPhail trap density, as needed, to protocol levels. CDFA Insect Biosystematist Kevin Hoffman and Eric Fisher made the determination.
