As part of the California Department
of Food and Agriculture's effort to eradicate the
Red Imported Fire Ant and other unwanted pests from
the state, the Department established the Pest Response
Line. With one toll-free call, residents and visitors
can report locations of any suspected fire ant mounds
on their property or in their neighborhood.
All calls reporting suspected fire ant
mounds will be answered and information collected
will be forwarded on to the appropriate agency for
response. The line is staffed during normal business
hours, or residents can leave an after-hours message.
With your help, the Department will
rid California of this dangerous and unwanted pest
